City Coordinator
I am a neuroscience student studying how exposure to different lights in our environment affects our biology and behaviour. In my free time you can find me running, climbing, or just soaking up on some daylight while enjoying a cup of coffee (practice what you preach, they say!).
Maydel Fernandez-Alonso
City Coordinator
I’m a postdoc investigating the mechanisms of light perception in humans, both for vision and for synchronizing our body clock with the day and night. I love science communication, and was an Pint of Science organiser in the UK, which inspired me to bring the event to Tübingen for 2024!
Laura Iacovissi
Event Manager
Hey! I’m a PhD student working on theory of Machine Learning. Originally from Italy, I’ve lived in Tübingen since 2020. Being a beer enthusiast, I couldn’t lose the opportunity of organizing the Pint of Science!

Hi, I am Mirac, a PhD student in IRTG2804: Women’s Mental Health. My study is on epigenetic and neuroimaging correlates of increased risk of mental disorders in pubertal girls. I was a physician before I started PhD almost a year ago. I am looking forward to organizing Pint of Science!
Chiara Zanonato
Event Manager
Hi there! I am Chiara, a PhD student in MPI for Biological Cybernetics, where I am part of the Dynamic Cognition Group. My main topic of interest is time perception and how the brain can keep track of this ephemeral feature. Science aside, I enjoy reading a good book, go to the movies, and DJing.

Heyy I am Hanna, a Phd student focusing on pregnancy related mental health from a gender and parenting norm perspective. I am originally from Finland, but also lived in Sweden for a little. I love to do all kinds of hobbies that I am really bad in such as painting or tennis.
Christina Bruckmann
Web Manager
Hi, I am a PhD student in cognitive neuroscience and fascinated by how the brain creates consciousness. Outside of the lab I like drawing and bouldering :)
I really enjoy sharing my excitement about science, which is why I am very excited to help organize this years' Pint of Science event!

Hi, my name is Diego! I am originally Venezuelan, now living in Tübingen, where I do my PhD in Computer Science. I work at the intersection of Optimal Transportation and Machine Learning. Beyond research, I'm keen on science communication and digital art.
Theresa Horn
Treasurer
I'm a PhD student with a background in Cognitive Science and Computational Neuroscience. Currently, I am interested in understanding the role of dopamine in time perception. My passion for science communication led me to join Pint of Science.
Nina
Treasurer
Hi, I’m Nina a neuroscience PhD student focusing on reward processing in the context of women’s mental health. In my free time I like to play the saxophone, to swim or to hike. I’m looking forward to the pint of science in Tübingen!
Erica
Publicity Manager
Ciao! My name is Erica and I am an Italian PhD student at the MPI for Biology: I try to be a bioinformatician and I am working with brown algae. In my free time I like to look at beautiful illustrated books and take long walks.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you soon!
